Liplicious at Bath and Body works

This is a review of the liplicious product that I recently purchased from Bath and Body works....well I think I'm glad I didnt pay the original $12 for this product and only paid $6....on one end is a brown sugar scrub that smells great and feels great when applied it then says I can eat the sugar once im done...I think I wish I hadnt...it tasted terrible. Next I tried teh color on afterwards...my lips feel a slight smoothness but nothing like when I use the sara happ lip scrub...sorry gals this doesn not get my vote.

DuWop Payoff

Ok I happened upon this little nugget at the sephora yesterday and got a birthday invitatio nfro the store..cant wait to see what goodies they have in store for the shoppers!! It says a full size goodie bag...cant wait;)

Anywho off to Duwop Payoff it supposedly turns dry shadows to crewm and i have not offically tried it yet..I will keep you posted if it works well...

this lip scrub is a miracle worker..my lips felt smoother and happier after use...Tonight I tried the lip scrub in brown sugar..yum I will be buying this scrub in vanilla bean and cinnamon sugar...how did I ever live without this...lets what teh box says...;)

So I had also searched high and low for the chroma face powders and shadows...after searching through six rite aids....I found them

On my way home tonight I decided to stop at one more Rite Aid and they had an ENTIRE display on a lower shelf of ever color and every part of the collection UNTOUCHED..so I bought a second set in case I have to go on anotehr wild goose chase for these products. Tomorrow I will test run tigers eye and see if it lives up to the hype.

Kat Update....

Ahhh alas its Thursday…just a quick bite on what Ive been up to….in the last few weeks I moved with the boyfriend to our townhouse…
We are getting the living room and offices painted…we are redecorating…etc This has definitely taken me away from my makeup-addiction, blogs and YouTube…
I cant keep up and I am behind on my twittering reading as well…sniffle. So before the holidays get crazy for me with parties, events and birthdays including my own…

Everyday minerals

Ok I saw the reviews on youtube of the everyday mineral products...I ordered the sample pack and it arrived fairly quickly. I must say I lvoe the blush but I doubt I will by the powders....My skin which rarely breaks out...broke out and my face was itchy. The blush seemed to be ok so I'll probably order the blush and the eye shadows...anyone else find this with mineral makeup?

My new hair

Well my new hair look a little like Kelly Clarkson but not completely and I got my original hair to go from brown highlights to BLACK...so dramatic....

My makeup table....A DIY for sure:)

Happy 4th everyone!! I decided that since the weather wasnt that great this past weekend that it was time for a little DIY project...I occasionally like to head on a goodwill jaunt and look for things but rarely find cool furniture and such.....but I was in luck. I have been watching a lot of the yout tube videos and looking for a makeup table to do all my little makeup artistry and I was in luck...I foudn a little desk fro mthe 60's or 70's it appeared...many peopel would look at it and not see the potential but well I wish i had did a before and after cause the after made me very happy.....take a peek this si the end result as soon as I arrange and reorganize....I will take some more pics and do a video for you-tube...let me know what you think:)

Cleansing 101

I think it is super important to wash your face daily...you know the old adage dont forget to wash your face before you go to bed...your pores open up and suck all the stuff into your skin."Yeck" Anyways here is a little list to help you along..Happy cleaning: Remove makeup Gently use your favorite eye makeup remover and sweep across your eyes....i say gently cause rubbing causes wrinkles. Next use favorite cleanser....i prefer noxema for oily skin and a creamy cleanser such as the line found at kohls Good skin...great smelling and gentle. Dry and mousturize...thats it....this is what i do to keep my skin looking young and blemish free.

78 color palette, 88 and just well palettes

Everyone has been talking about the 78 and 88 color palette at www.coastalscents.com, they are currently sold out so i went on ebay and bought the 78 color palette its $10 more with shipping but you can also find the 88 color palette there too its pretty much the same one as coastal scents. As soon as I get it, I will submit my review....I am stil lso new to this...please take a look...I'll get better;)

Eyebrow shapers...dream tool!!

These are great as I dont overpluck and have found these to be a godsend and got my mom to use them too...they are by Noxema and they are eyebrow shavers....awesome little tools I get my eyebrows professionally done and then I buy these little tools to keep them up...flawless!! Here’s me hour #5 wearing the Loreal paint in secretive….I know others have given it an iffy review but so far…it has staying power and I like it.

Loreal HIP

Lately I have been hearing a lot about Loreal HIP pigments, shadow duos and paint so I decided to buy a few and see how they hold up....
I got Loreal HIP Shocking shadow pigment in Intrepid, Cream shadow paint in Secretive and two duos in Charisma and Sassy.

I am going to wear the paint in Secretive tomorrow stay tuned for a review of how it holds up throughout the day.

MAC ATTACK!!

Mac is offering 15% online and in mac stores...a little sad they are not including the mac stores in Macys....;( Enjoy anyways....I know I will be!!

Learning more about makeup

I guess I thought I knew a lot about makeup but recently Ive discovered that I have more to learn. I have been watching a lot of the DIY videos on you tube for mixing medium, brush deordorizer and recentyl how to display my brushes like they are displayed in sephora!!
This also forced me to go through my makeup only to realize I held on to a lot more than I thought and to get rid of my old makeup.....if you havent used it in 6 months definitely pitch it...here is what I found as a sort of timetable for pitching used make-up:

Step 1

Keep track of the dates that you buy makeup if possible. Most of it will lose effectiveness after about a year, and should be thrown out at that time.

Step 2

Watch your makeup for caking, cracking or drying out. If any of these happen, it is probably past time to throw away the offending product.

Step 3

Don't share your makeup to avoid gathering excess oils or as germs. If you share for some reason, it may be time to throw that makeup away, especially lip and eye makeup.

Store your makeup in a cool dry place— not in your car and preferable not on your bathroom counter where it will be exposed to steam and possibly to water.

I have made the mixing medium and used with my MAC and NYX pigments and they have kept up all day. Recipe included below:

3 parts water

1 part glycerine (Glycerine can be found at Wal-mart, Grocery stores, Rite Aid etc Its with the first aid items.
